Coach Lauren began participating in track and field in middle school and quickly fell in love with it. She was a Texas 5A State Meet qualifier in Long Jump with a personal best of 18-9.75, a 5A District Champion in Long Jump, and 4A champion in Triple Jump and 100m hurdles. Lauren was also a Texas 5A regional qualifier in long jump, triple jump (38-5), 100m hurdles (14.82), Mile relay (55 second split), and high jump (5’2”) in multiple years and held the LJ record at Smithson Valley HS in Spring Branch, TX from 2005-2022. She participated in several AAU national meets and was on academic and athletic scholarship at the University of Southern MS for her entire undergraduate experience, despite having to conclude her athletic career after her freshman year due to a spine injury. Lauren lives in Helotes, TX with her daughter Charleigh who is a member of the Comets. She holds a Masters Degree in Public Health and is a Global Project Lead for ThermoFisher Scientific. Lauren is extremely thankful that she gets to coach for the Comets, and loves teaching young athletes events that brought her such joy, prepared her for all aspects of life, provided lifelong friends, and opened many doors.
