2025 Boerne Fall Track Training Group with Coach Jane

This program is for co-ed athletes ages 10 and up and is excellent to prepare athletes for our Indoor/Winter Season, Summer Season, and/or School Track Season.

The goal of fall track training will be to build stronger bases for all athletes, specifically working to develop strength, power, speed, endurance/stamina and flexibility. Athletes will need to purchase their own medicine ball and resistant bands to bring to each workout. The majority of workouts will be on grass and off the track as this will help to prevent injuries.

Workouts will be at several locations in Boerne on Monday/Thurs 530-7pm and Saturday 930-1100am. Middle and High School athletes will have option to join in to weight training on Tuesday night and after workouts on Saturday. This will require you purchase a gym membership or pay additional drop in fees at 24/7 Fitness. ( You can sign up under HCC and the $99 enrollment will be waived. The monthly cost is $50 with a one time charge of $15 for key card)

As we progress through the fall, we will move into event specific training, getting athletes ready for their school track seasons and/or our indoor and summer track program. This training is geared towards 100/200/400.

This is not a competitive season, however we will have a few small track meets in Oct, Nov, Dec. Indoor season starts in December for high school aged athletes. We will plan to attend Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Houston Indoor meets.

The fee to join from Sept-end of December is $600 which equals $150/month. Payments may be made in cash due at start of season.

Comet Throws Group-Coach Stefan

This is Coach Stefan's group for shotput and discus for ages 10-18. Younger ages will be considered on a case by case basis.
Throwers will meet 2 times per week on Monday 500-630 and Saturday Mornings 930-1100.

The cost to join is $500 for Sept-December. Payments may be made in cash, due on the first day of practice.

Boerne Horizontal Jump Training with Coach Lauren

Year round horizontal jump training will begin in mid-September and is for athletes in 6th grade and up. Younger athletes will be considered on a case by case basis. Groups will be no more than 4 athletes at a time, and grouped by ability. Lessons will be Thursday- Sunday, with a variety of options.
Cost-Mulitiple options
$125 per month (1x/week)
$150 (2x/week)
$40 per lesson
$350 flat fee for 1x week class September- end of December,
$450 flat fee for 2x/week for September -end of December.
Spring rates will be the same, but there will be no flat fee option during that time.

2025 Boerne Distance Fall Training w/ Coach Erin

This program is geared toward co-ed athletes in elementary/early middle school grades who want to improve their 800m, 1500/1600m and 3200m times. All abilities are welcome; however, athletes should be able to run a mile comfortably. The goal of training is to build a strong base for the spring and summer track seasons, with an emphasis on building speed and endurance for mid and long-distance events. Workouts will be tailored to each athlete's age, ability, and desired event.

Workouts will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at varying locations around Boerne (including Boerne City Park, Joshua Springs Park and Preserve, Cibolo Creek Nature Trail Park, and the track near Fabra). This schedule is intended to allow for flexibility. Athletes do NOT need to attend all four sessions each week (although they're welcome to) but will be much more successful if they are able to attend at least two sessions per week. The cost is $150 (to be paid monthly via Venmo, cash or check) and athletes are able to skip a month or jump in for a month (for instance, in December between cross country and track seasons).

This is not a competitive season, however, there may be some indoor track opportunities for those who would like to compete. Please email Erin Cushman at [email protected] with any questions.

2025 Wimberley Distance Fall Training w/ Coach Haley

Fall Distance/Cross Country Training Group in Wimberley

This co-ed training group will be led by Coach Haley Hall and is for athletes ages 10 and up who are interested in building a strong aerobic foundation for school cross country, spring track, or future Hill Country Comets competition seasons. Whether you’re new to distance running or looking to build on past success, this group is focused on long-term development and consistency. As I know a handful of athletes will be competing in school races training will adapt to their racing schedule as well.

Training will focus on endurance, strength, mobility, and running form, while introducing athletes to cross country-style workouts on trails, grass, and mixed terrain. Athletes should bring a water bottle, running shoes, and occasionally a towel for core work.

Practice Schedule (Wimberley area):

Tuesdays & Thursdays – 6:00–7:30 PM

Saturday or Sunday mornings on occasion. Workouts will rotate through Wintermills trail, WoodCreek golf course, and the Wimberley High School area. 

As the season progresses, we’ll shift from base-building into more specific work, preparing athletes for track events ranging from the 800m up to the 3200m. There will also be optional group runs and trail meetups during school holidays or breaks.

Fall Season Dates: Sept – Mid-December
Cost: $500 for the full season (or $150/month if joining late)

2025 Winter/Spring Distance Training-Coach Tyler

2025 Winter/Spring Distance Training- Starts December 1st and runs through school season.

This program is intended for serious middle and high school athletes who are committed to getting faster and maximizing their potential on the track. The focus will be on individualized training tailored to each athlete’s needs and what I believe will help them improve — whether that’s sharpening speed, building strength, developing endurance, or refining race strategy. 
The focus will be on preparing athletes for the spring and summer track seasons through structured, progressive training for events such as the 800m, 1600m, 2400 or 3200m.

Training will emphasize a progression of aerobic development, race-specific speed, and tactical awareness, with sessions customized to meet the needs of each athlete. This is not a general conditioning group — this is for athletes who are self-motivated, consistent, and ready to train with purpose.

Practice Schedule:
Days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (if no track meet is scheduled)
Time: 5:30 -7:00
Locations: pending

Cost: $150/month (payable via Venmo, cash, or check)
Athletes may train month-to-month depending on race schedules or personal availability (e.g., school breaks, indoor meets).

This is not a competitive season, but indoor or out-of-season meet opportunities may be discussed for athletes who are interested and prepared to race.
